Last week, I hit 50,000 tweets on Twitter. I know a lot of you are thinking, “Wow, you’ve got a big mouth.” Those people can just leave now. Go ahead, I’ll wait.
OK, now the the negative people are gone, the rest of us can move forward.
I’ve been on Twitter for over two years, and it’s been a hell of a ride. Heartbreak, tweetups, more business than I can manage, meeting the love of my life, eating tacos for money… it’s all documented on Twitter. It’s become such an integrated part of my life that it’s like breathing.
I realized, about 20 tweets from 50k, that I was reaching a milestone. It’s the first one that I recognized, so I thought it would be appropriate if I said something meaningful about what Twitter meant to me. Below are the last 11 tweets leading up to the big 5-0-0-0-0.
Thank you, Twitter, for being a part of my DNA, for allowing me to interact with people I wouldn’t have found otherwise.
