With over 10 years experience composing music for film, television, commercials and digital series, Los Angeles native Rob Gokee brings depth, style and emotion to his pieces. A graduate of the University of New Mexico in Composition and Theory, Rob also studied under composer Christopher Young (Hellraiser, The Grudge, Ghost Rider).

Rob has scored 19 feature films, and over three dozen  TV series & pilots, including the DreamWorksTV animated series “Dueling Kapowskis,” National Geographic’s “Wicked Tuna” & “Known Universe,” SyFy’s “Fact Or Faked,” FullScreen’s “New Adventures of Peter & Wendy,  Speed Channel’s “Car Science,” and TruTV’s “Police POV.” Rob has also scored commercials for Sony, TurboTax, Free Credit Score.com, and many others.


It's important to grow and change, and not be stagnant.

Rob won back-to-back IAWTV (International Academy of Web Television) awards for Best Score in 2012 and 2013, for the shows “Night of the Zombie King” and “Cost Of Capital,” which also won Best Score at the 2013 Indie Soap Awards. His most recent award was Best Score at the 2016 at the 9th OUTmusic Awards for “Producing Juliet.”

Rob just finished the feature documentary “Kickstarted,” Season 3 of the Award-Winning series The New Adventures of Peter & Wendy, & the DreamWorks animated show “Sammy ‘n Amy.” He’s currently scoring the feature film “The Rainbow Experiment,” and promoting his book Tacocity: Los Angeles. He’s also in preproduction for his first album of original songs and writing his third book. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Producer Allison Vanore.
