Author & Marketing Superhero Chris Brogan asked me to write a theme song for his new show – not for him – WITH him. I had so much fun, and he interviewed me about my process and how I do what I do. Here’s the full length version.

My IAWTV Award Acceptance Speech
I was honored and privileged to win the award for Best Original Music at the 2012 IAWTV Awards in Vegas a few weeks ago, for my score to “GOLD: Night of the Zombie King.” I was unable to attend, but I recorded an acceptance speech to thank everyone that made it possible. This award means a lot to me; it’s the first real award I’ve won for scoring, and it’s significance to me is shown in the video below.
Not Another Year End Post
2011 was an interesting year. Here are 10 highlights. I rung in the new year once again in New Jersey, my second home. The highlight of which was asking Allison’s dad for permission to marry her while shoveling snow. I got engaged. To say that I’ve never loved anyone in my life like I love Allison seems romantic, mushy & exaggerated. It’s also the truth. Any other relationship I’ve been in was just preparation for this one. The score for this pilot needed to be dark and ambient most of the time, and I tried to find a balance between not really having much melody but still enhance the …Read the Rest
The Drought
Score remix for the short film “The Drought,” Written & Directed by Kevin Slack. Kevin & I had previously worked on a film the year prior; this dramatic short was unique in that he wanted the score to portray emotion, but be very minimal. I used a solo cello and heavily reverbed piano to show the loneliness and desperation of Jonas, but with a hint of hope. Underneath, I used a droning sound that’s rather “airy,” and I think it gives the scenes a bit of uneasiness, because it seems that everything Jonas does is a struggle. For the …Read the Rest
