In part 2 of Mitchum’s stories about his sister Beaty, he talks about how she helped him with all his motions and trials while he was in prison for a murder he didn’t commit.
“They’re just breaking one law after another. And you’ve got to understand. My sister kept notes: times, date, places of everything. And she would immediately get copies of these trial hearings, and these preliminary hearings. Everything that we’ve got today we wouldn’t have had if she hadn’t have done that because they destroyed everything later.”
