Happy to be Back

I’m back from Monterey/Carmel, and glad to be sleeping in my own bed again. It was a good trip, we stayed at a bed and breakfast called the Centrella Inn in Pacific Grove, a sleepy little, strange town just west of Monterey in the peninsula. The inn was a block from the ocean (although we’re spoiled at home being 6 blocks away), it was so quiet. Too quiet, actually, I needed to hear something besides the birds in order to fall asleep. We took the scenic route there, over route 1 through Big Sur, the views were amazing. Pictures were taken, I have to upload them and see which ones are nice, and which ones are shots of the car interior with a sliver of ocean, which is what happens when you’re driving 80 and Hannah’s trying to shoot photos. We spent a day in Carmel, it wasn’t very crowded (which is why we went during the week after the holiday). Hannah and I looked at rings (the kind you put on your finger at a ceremony, the most nonreligious ceremony you can have), and we ate at a wonderful Italian place called Little Napoli that had amazing food, a quiet atmosphere, and I’d recommend it to anyone traveling to Carmel.

I’m glad to be back, though, with a full workload and a house that’s about to be overrun by guests. I’ve got a lot of new things in the works as well, software ideas and supplement income stuff, it’s almost overwhelming trying to keep it all inside my head. I wish I had a blog to purge all this information to…wait a minute…
