This weekend is the LA Times Festival Of Books on the UCLA campus. I’ll be there with Jillian Gilbert of New City Entertainment (1/2 of my marketing and PR guru team) giving away copies of my book. Will I be doing this from a booth? No. Am I speaking at a panel? No.
I’m doing it Twitter-style.
Social media is all about being mobile. It’s not about being stuck behind a booth. I’m taking the book to the people.
The first 5 people who find me in the crowd will get a free copy of the book if you utter the secret phrase.
I’m also giving away bookmarks to anyone who looks at me sideways. Custom, one-of-a-kind bookmarks created just for tomorrow. There may or may not be a picture of me naked on them. It’s up in the air at this point.
Anyway, come find me. Say hi, ask me questions like “Why the hell do you tweet 70-100 times a day?!” I’d love to meet all of you there. Jillian and I will be tweeting like crazy while I’m there, taking pics, and we’re even bringing an HD cam just in case there are some video-worthy moments.
Like signing someone’s book. Naked.
