Releasing The Fail Whale

Because I'm blogging this from my phone, I realize that picture is going to be oversized and misaligned. I think WordPress for Blackberry needs a "resize" feature. Just putting it out there.

My two year anniversary on Twitter has come and gone (October 23rd), and my connection to Twitter is stronger than ever. My friendships, relationships, business partnerships are all growing exponentially with my Twitter usage. Twitter has been the best experience I’ve ever had on the web, and I’ve met the most amazing people, better than any other time in my life.  The most amazing of all is this beautiful woman.

Taken at Jorge & Joanna's wedding in Tucson October 16th, 2010. The flower is actually in MY hair.

Last year, on my one year anniversary, I was writing a book about my experience on Twitter. The book was a success on many levels.  It allowed me to share, with the world, things that I previously only shared on Twitter. About my life, my breakup, my career, falling in love. I opened up in a way that was diary-like and pretty much unfiltered.

I’m going to add that component to this blog as well, more posts that are similar to the book about the things that are going on in my life, good and bad. But before that, I’ve got something else up my sleeve.

In honor of my 2 year Twitterversary, I’m going to give everyone a present.

No, I’m not putting pants on. It’s better than that. I’m giving you my book for free.

The book has been split up into 30 convenient blog posts, each more exciting than the one before it!! OK, maybe not all of them are more exciting than the one prior. Like, when you get to the spot where I wrestle with a bear on the edge of a cliff, and then in the next installment, the bear and I are playing chess in Washington Square Park, sharing a box of Red Vines.

The bear and I were playing chess at the table in the center of the "circle." He was winning at this point. I threw the game so he wouldn't maul and eat me in a fit of anger.

Anyway, the entire version of “In The Belly Of The Fail Whale,” right here. Including the #FollowFriday story you could previously only get in the eBook version.  This is my gift to you, my readers, for, well… reading.  For talking to me on Twitter, for retweeting, for asking me about tacos, for saying “awwww” when I crush over Allie, for being my friends, some of you the best friends I’ve ever had in my life.

If you’re interested in getting a signed version, or just like the feel of a regular book, you can still find it here on the site, or at Amazon.

Look for the Fail Whale Book posts 3 times a week for (does the math in his head) 10 weeks, starting tomorrow.  AND, at the end of the book, there’s a special announcement. Special as in “book-related” special. Not special as in “unreleased pictures of me pantsless.”

Those are on my OTHER blog.
